Which Miner Is The Best?
A common question is ‘which miner is the best’? Currently, the most profitable miner is the Antminer KS3 9.4T, a high quality miner allowing for the most efficient use of your available power and ROI (Return on Investment), or in other words ‘the most bang for your buck,’
For example, one important factor is the setting in which your miner will be installed. Here are three common settings:
- Industrial settings with large amounts of power
- Home setting
- Home with backyard shed with additional separate power line
INDUSTRIAL SETTING
If you have access to a substantial amount of power for your mining application, such as 200A-600A or more, you might be interested in the recently released hydro-cooled miners like the S19pro+ HYD 191TH/s. These miners offer several benefits over traditional air-cooled systems. Firstly, they operate at maximum hash rate due to the superior efficiency of hydro cooling. Additionally, they produce minimal noise since they don't require fans. They require a 400V service and cannot be used in a home setting. Also They require special cooling statins available fromFederalMiner as well.
While the current Bitcoin market is relatively low, this means that these machines are priced lower than usual, making them an attractive investment opportunity. When the crypto market returns to higher levels, these miners are expected to become highly profitable and expensive. However, even in the current low crypto market, there are two miners that are still generating profits: the Antminer KS3 and the IceRiver KS3. Therefore, we highly recommend considering these two miners.
HOME SETTING
At home, we are limited by our power capacity, typically to 100A, with a few lucky ones having access to 125A or even 200A, although such instances are rare. Considering that the general recommendation for power consumption is a maximum of 80% of your total capacity, and the fact that you still need to sustain day-to-day life on the same power, it is safe to allocate approximately 50A-60A maximum for mining. This is your primary restriction.
As a solution, we recommend using miners with a higher hashrate due to their power efficiency. In the current low crypto market, there are two miners that are still generating profits, namely the Antminer KA3 and the IceRiver KS3, which have relatively low power consumption. Therefore, we highly recommend considering these two miners for home use. To lower their fan noise, we recommend hydro cooling systems.
HOME WITH BACKYARD SHED
Many benefits come from creating a mining farm in your backyard shed. In some areas, local hydro companies offer a free secondary power connection with a separate meter. This way, you can create a farm with 300A in addition to the 50A at-home-scenario. This combination makes it easy to create the most profitable mining environment without accruing the additional costs associated with operating out of an industrial unit.
